Pros - Powerful engine - Open source (!!!) - Not based on Unity or Unreal, based on Godot - EU company and not extremely for-profit - Platform is 8 years old, very well established - Owner is a competent and likable person, while still being professional - 800k+ users and hundreds of players active - Genuinely fun games, many of which are active - Flatpak support on Linux - Moderation has been relaxing as of lately Cons - Introduced Pauly this year after being contacted by Roblox in a desperate attempt to avoid legal action - Did not consult the players regarding such drastic change, causing many to leave since: - Pauly is horrendous and doesn't fit with any game, and it is impossible to change back to the blocky character - Lots of drama in the past, although such have become rarer and less relevant in the present - Terribly mishandled the influx of 500k+ new users in early 2026 - Bad at communicating changes to the users, causing many unpopular updates
