@Ata · 7/28/2026Solid European UGC platform with a powerful open source engine, benevolent ownership, fun games, hundreds of thousands of users, a long tradition and fair moderation. Unplayable for many people including me after the non-refusable introduction of Pauly in early 2026.
Pros
- Powerful engine
- Open source (!!!)
- Not based on Unity or Unreal, based on Godot
- EU company and not extremely for-profit
- Platform is 8 years old, very well established
- Owner is a competent and likable person, while still being professional
- 800k+ users and hundreds of players active
- Genuinely fun games, many of which are active
- Flatpak support on Linux
- Moderation has been relaxing as of lately
Cons
- Introduced Pauly this year after being contacted by Roblox in a desperate attempt to avoid legal action
- Did not consult the players regarding such drastic change, causing many to leave since:
- Pauly is horrendous and doesn't fit with any game, and it is impossible to change back to the blocky character
- Lots of drama in the past, although such have become rarer and less relevant in the present
- Terribly mishandled the influx of 500k+ new users in early 2026
- Bad at communicating changes to the users, causing many unpopular updates

I love Polytoria but they need to get their shit together
@TungTungGod · 7/28/2026Sites been dying for forever, and they seemingly don't care. I've been on the site since 2024 (two years as of tomorrow), and they've never really managed it correctly. Trading and forums are actively decaying which I find really sad, I hope they do something to improve the forums and economy.

- Nice community features

Solid platform, a few bumps on the road though
@isaac · 7/28/2026It's definitely one of the higher quality platforms in the SBC, and I believe it does deserve it's high rating. However, it's started to have some bumps on the road, which is expected with most scaling platforms.
Pros
- Love the trading scene
- Long-term platform in SBC
- Open source
- One of the most active communities in SBC
- Great cosmetics
- Great staff team members
- One of the first sandboxes (other than roblox and rec room) that I tried
Cons
- Uses Godot (No custom engine)
- Not transparent after the February blow up
- Pauly is horrible
- Vue drama (clear favoritism)
- Studio is hard to use

Decent and functional.
Ned Stark · 7/28/2026This is one of the better sites for sandbox UGC games. It is flawed though. The avatar change sucked pretty bad and the new avatars look very odd. That is personally what drove me away from the platform. The studio also was confusing to me, but I haven't tried it in a while so maybe that is fixed. It is very active though. It's community is a little bit toxic but that is probably from the size of the game. The owner does not seem too competent though.

Super cool site, still has issues though.
Hijinx · 7/28/2026Very cool website and the games on the platform are super interesting! However, the website never fails to have some sort of issue that always takes days to really seem to fix.
No hate though, they've done more than most other sandboxes can dream of haha.
